In Committee from the House of Commons
Board of Internal Economy - October 19, 2017
This is the first publicly televised meeting of the House of Commons’ Board of the Internal Economy. The board makes crucial decisions concerning the legal affairs, payroll, staffing, and budgets for the House of Commons. Until today, the board’s hearings have always been in-camera (private). The board proceeds to study the long-term vision and plan for the parliamentary precinct, and the 2016-2017 audited financial statement and 2018 supplementary estimates. The MPs hear from Susan Kulba (House of Commons’ Architecture and Long-Term Vision and Plan Program Management), Rob Wright (Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada), Daniel G. Paquette (House of Commons chief financial officer), André Gagnon (House of Commons deputy clerk for procedure), and Stéphan Aubé (House of Commons chief information officer).
