Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics – October 30, 2017

MPs debate whether to call Ethic Commissioner Mary Dawson and Finance Minister Bill Morneau to testify before the committee to address the controversy surrounding the minister’s alleged conflict of interest.

The committee continues its study of the government’s proposed access to information reforms in Bill C-58. Speaking before the committee are Canada Border Services Agency’s Robert Mundie and Dan Proulx, the Department of Citizenship and Immigration’s Michael Olsen and Audrey White, the Canadian Superior Courts Judges Association’s Pierre Bienvenu, and the Canadian Union of Public Employees’ Robert Ramsay.
