The committee proceeds to their study of the federal government policies and guidelines regarding medical inadmissibility of immigrants. Forming the first panel are lawyer Lorne Waldman, the Council of Canadians with Disabilities’ John Rae, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information’s Brent Diverty.

Forming the second panel are Jordan Battista LLP’s Michael Battista and Adrienne Smith, the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network’s Maurice Tomlinson, HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic (Ontario)’s Meagan Johnston, caregiver Mercedes Benitez, and the Parkdale Community Legal Services’ Toni Schweitzer.
