Groups Say IRB Needs More Training on LGBTQ2 Issues

Citizenship and Immigration – March 27, 2018:

The committee studies the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada’s handling of LGBTQ2 refugee claimants’ cases and inconsistencies in the IRB’s adjudication process.

Participating in the study are Sean Rehaag (Osgoode Hall Law School, York University), Kimahli Powell (Rainbow Railroad), Maurice Tomlinson (Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network), Sharalyn Jordan (Rainbow Refugee), lawyer Preevanda Sapru, Andrew Brouwer (Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers), and Michael Tutthill (Rainbow Resource Centre).
