MPs continued with their clause-by-clause consideration of the government's budget bill. Clauses of Bill C-38 that were dealt with in this session included measures to phase out Social Insurance Number cards, new oversight rules for the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the elimination of the penny, and changes to Old Age Security benefits. (June 5, 2012)

UPDATE: Bill C-38 received royal assent on June 29.
