Henri-Paul Normandin, director general of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development’s Latin America and Caribbean bureau, provides an update on the human rights situation in Honduras. He identifies some of the measures the Honduran government is taking to address the many human rights challenges that exist despite the country’s current stable political situation. He also highlights what Canada does to support progress for human rights in Honduras. (November 6, 2014)
