Witness: Ron Dicks

Ron Dicks (a former member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and officer in charge of the RCMP investigation into the bombing of Air India flight 182) continues his testimony before the Commission under direct examination by Commission Counsel Anil Kapoor. Mr. Dicks is asked about aspects of the RCMP investigation into the bombing of Air India flight 182, including the splitting of the RCMP’s National Security Intelligence Section (NSIS) into two teams, with one dedicated to the investigation into the bombing. Jacques Shore (Counsel for the Air India Victims’ Families Association) cross-examines Mr. Dicks, asking him about the evolving relationship between the RCMP and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) following the creation of CSIS in 1984. Charleen Brenzall (Counsel for the Attorney General of Canada) cross-examines Mr. Dicks and Mr. Kapoor asks some brief follow-up questions.
