Witnesses: Anne-Marie Boisvert, Geoffrey Frisby

Anne-Marie Boisvert (Faculty of Law, University of Montreal) continues to testify under direct examination by Commission Counsel Michel Dorval about her work related to witnesses in criminal prosecutions and witness protection. She discusses her research on witness protection in a wide variety of jurisdictions and her extensive conversations with government and police officials in Canada and in other countries. Jacques Shore (Counsel for the Air India Victims’ Families Association) and Annie Laperle (Counsel for the Attorney General of Canada) cross-examine Ms. Boisvert. Commissioner John C. Major asks the witness some brief questions. Under direct examination by Mr. Dorval, Geoffrey Frisby (a former member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)) testifies on the subject of the RCMP’s witness protection program and his own experience administering witness protection programs.
