This November 22, 2007, hearing in Sherbrooke, Que., includes briefs and testimonials by Jean Perrault (mayor of Sherbrooke), Abdallah Annab (Association des Marocaines et des Marocains de l’Estrie), Gérald Audet (Socieco), and also from various citizens speaking as individuals speaking as individuals.

The Consultation Commission on Accommodation Practices Related to Cultural Differences (the “Bouchard–Taylor Commission”) was established in February 2007 by Quebec Premier Jean Charest. The public consultation program includes a number of public hearings focusing on issues relating to the protection of ethno-cultural minority rights while also respecting the rights of larger demographics within Quebec.
