Inquiries on CPAC - Province-Wide Hearings on Accommodation Practices – Montreal, Que.


The Consultation Commission on Accommodation Practices Related to Cultural Differences (the “Bouchard–Taylor Commission”) was established in February 2007 by Quebec Premier Jean Charest. The public consultation program includes a number of province-wide public hearings focusing on issues relating to the protection of ethno-cultural minority rights while also respecting the rights of larger demographics within Quebec.

This December 10, 2007, hearing in Montreal, Que., includes briefs by Michel Doyon (Barreau du Québec), Claudette Carbonneau (Confédération des syndicats nationaux), and Samaa Elibyari (Conseil canadien des femmes musulmanes), among others.
