Commission of Inquiry into Certain Allegations Respecting Business and Financial Dealings Between Karlheinz Schreiber and the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney

The Commission begins hearing applications for standing and funding for the second part of the public inquiry, a policy review related to ethics rules for holders of public office and the handling of the prime minister’s correspondence by the Privy Council Office. Following opening remarks by the Commissioner, Arthur Jefford presents an application for standing. The Commissioner reserves his decision on Mr. Jefford’s application and grants full standing to the Attorney General of Canada.
