Charbonneau Commission

Justice France Charbonneau presides over the commission established by Quebec Premier Jean Charest to examine the awarding and management of public contracts in Quebec's construction industry. Charest announced the creation of this inquiry in November 2011 to address allegations of corruption and collusion in the Quebec construction industry and political party financing.

The witness for the afternoon session on June 8, 2012 was former Undersecretary for Procurement, Public Contracts, Jacques Lafrance.
