Inquiries on CPAC - Commission Charbonneau - Sept 19/12
Justice France Charbonneau presides over the commission established by former Quebec Premier Jean Charest to examine the awarding and management of public contracts in Quebec's construction industry. Charest announced the creation of this inquiry in November 2011 to address allegations of corruption and collusion in the Quebec construction industry and political party financing.
The witness on September 19, 2012 was criminologist Valentina Tenti, an expert on the Italian Mafia. She authored a report for the commission on the infiltration of Italy's construction industry by the Mafia.
