Commission Charbonneau - Sept 20/12 PM Session
Justice France Charbonneau presides over the commission established by former Quebec premier Jean Charest to examine the awarding and management of public contracts in Quebec's construction industry. Charest announced the inquiry in November 2011 to address allegations of corruption and collusion in the Quebec construction industry and political party financing. In the afternoon session of September 20th, the Commission heard the application for participant status as submitted by the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ). Justice France Charbonneau rendered her decision in the matter before suspending proceedings for the day.
