Commission Charbonneau – March 11, 2014 (Part 1 of 2)

The commission hears testimony from Jérôme Bédard (Investigative Sergeant with the Sûreté du Québec) and Louis Mercure (Contractor and former owner of France joints).

Justice France Charbonneau presides over the commission established by Quebec Premier Jean Charest to examine the awarding and management of public contracts in Quebec’s construction industry. Charest announced the creation of this inquiry in November 2011 to address allegations of corruption and collusion in the Quebec construction industry and political party financing.
