Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witnesses: Patrick Lebrun, Mario Parent

Pierre Fournier (Counsel for Alfonso Gagliano) and Sylvain Lussier (on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada) conduct cross-examinations of Patrick Lebrun (a former assistant in the office of Mr. Gagliano, the former minister of Public Works and Government Services). Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer begins direct examination of Mario Parent (former advertising program co-ordinator in the Communication Coordination Services Branch (CCSB) of the Department of Public Works and Government Services). Testimony focuses on Mr. Parent’s role in the signing of sponsorship contracts.
