Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: André Ouellet

The Commission continues to hear testimony on the subject of Canada Post’s involvement in sponsorship activities. Commission Counsel Bernard Roy resumes direct examination of André Ouellet (the former president and CEO of Canada Post). In a series of heated exchanges with Mr. Roy and the Commissioner, Mr. Ouellet is asked about his friendship with Jean Lafleur and the role of Lafleur Communication in stamp markerting campaigns and in a children’s stamp design contest. Raymond Doray (Counsel for Mr. Ouellet) persistently objects to Mr. Roy’s questions.
