Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Benoît Corbeil

Guy Bertrand (Counsel for Benoît Corbeil) describes threats of legal action made against Mr. Corbeil following his testimony before the Commission. Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer continues direct examination of Mr. Corbeil, asking him about earlier alleged attempts by Alfonso Gagliano to influence Mr. Corbeil’s testimony. There are also questions about Mr. Corbeil’s correspondence with Jean Chrétien and with Antonio Mignacca. Doug Mitchell (Counsel for the Liberal Party of Canada) begins cross-examination.
