Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Marc-Yvan Côté

The Commission continues to hear testimony from Marc-Yvan Côté (a former organizer for the Quebec wing of the Liberal Party of Canada). Under direct examination by Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer, Mr. Côté describes the transfer of funds to individual ridings during the 2000 federal election campaign. There are cross-examinations of Mr. Côté by Doug Mitchell (Counsel for the Liberal Party of Canada), Pierre Fournier (Counsel for Alfonso Gagliano), Richard Phaneuf (Counsel for Jacques Corriveau), and Sylvain Lussier (on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada), followed by brief re-examinations by Mr. Cournoyer and Mr. Fournier.
