Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witnesses: Sheila Fraser, Ronald Campbell, Louise Bertrand

The Commission continues to hear testimony on federal government advertising practices from a panel of witnesses from the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, including Sheila Fraser (Auditor General of Canada), Ronald Campbell (Accountant, Office of the Auditor General), and Louise Bertrand (Senior Director, Office of the Auditor General). Richard Dearden (Counsel for the Office of the Auditor General) conducts cross-examination with questions focusing on the findings of the Auditor General related to the awarding of a 1994 Tourism Canada advertising contract to Vickers & Benson and BCP Limited. Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer conducts a brief re-examination of the witnesses.
