The Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar

Witness: Bill Graham

Marlys Edwardh (Counsel for Mr. Arar) continues cross-examination of former Minister of Foreign Affairs Bill Graham. Discussion focuses on the minister’s own knowledge of Mr. Arar’s mistreatment in Syria. The minister is then cross-examined by Barbara A. McIsaac (for the Attorney General of Canada) on the involvement of Canadian officials following Mr. Arar’s deportation to Syria. Commission Counsel Paul J. J. Cavalluzzo asks the minister about attempts to resolve conflicts among various Canadian agencies over Mr. Arar’s case.
