Witnesses: Stephen Yale-Loehr, Julia Hall

Stephen Yale-Loehr (Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Law, Cornell University) and Julia Hall (Counsel and Researcher, Human Rights Watch) continue their testimony on the practice of extraordinary rendition and on American law governing Mr. Arar’s deportation to Syria. Simon Fothergill (for the Attorney General of Canada) concludes cross-examination on U.S. immigration procedures and on aspects of Mr. Arar’s detention in the United States. Sylvie Roussel (Counsel for Maureen Girvan) conducts a brief cross-examination. There is a brief re-examination by Commission Counsel Paul J. J. Cavalluzzo.
