Witness: Michael Edelson

Marlys Edwardh (Counsel for Mr. Arar) continues cross-examination of Michael Edelson (former attorney for Mr. Arar), who confirms having relayed concerns about Mr. Arar’s torture to Gar Pardy (Director General of Consular Affairs, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAIT)). Under cross-examination by Norman Boxall (Counsel for Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Inspector Michel Cabana), Mr. Edelson describes his correspondence with RCMP investigators in early 2002. A brief cross-examination by Simon Fothergill (for the Attorney General of Canada) is followed by a re-examination by Commission Counsel Marc David.
