The Inquiry into Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls convened in Calgary for the second day of its institutional hearings on government services. Appearing today were Naomi Giff-McKinnon (senior policy analyst at the Policy Centre for Victim Issues with the Government of Canada) and Betty Ann Pottruff (children's counsel for the Government of Saskatchewan), as well as John Phelps (chief federal prosecutor for the Yukon region) and Leanne Gardiner (the director of the community justice and policing division for the Department of Justice for the Northwest Territories).
