Witness: Marc LeFrançois

Richard Dearden (Counsel for the Office of the Auditor General) completes cross-examination of Marc LeFrançois (the former chair and CEO of VIA Rail Canada), focusing on the intermediary role of Lafleur Communication in Public Works and Government Services’ reimbursement of VIA Rail for the sponsorship of a television series about Maurice Richard. There are brief cross-examinations by Pierre Fournier (Counsel for Alfonso Gagliano), Sylvain Lussier (on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada), and Claude-Armand Sheppard (Counsel for Mr. LeFrançois), followed by a short re-examination by Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer.
