Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Ron Bilodeau

Commission Counsel Bernard Roy continues direct examination of Ron Bilodeau (former Associate Secretary of the Privy Council). Discussion focuses on the activities of the so-called Unity Group within the Privy Council Office and submissions to the Treasury Board seeking funds for sponsorship and advertising programs on behalf of Canadian Heritage, the Canada Information Office, and the Department of Public Works and Government Services. Mr. Bilodeau also speaks about correspondence with Ranald Quail concerning the administration of the sponsorship program.
