Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Josée Thibeau-Carrier, Huguette Tremblay

Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer concludes direct examination of Josée Thibeau-Carrier (a former accountant at Gosselin Communication). Richard Auger (Counsel for Charles Guité) conducts a brief cross-examination. Mr. Cournoyer proceeds with examination of Huguette Tremblay (a former office manager for Mr. Guité), who recalls orders from Mr. Guité, acting at the request of Alfonso Gagliano, to hide payment for a plaque in San Martino, Italy within the sponsorship of Winterlude in Ottawa. She also describes orders for promotional items made through Art Tellier, a company run by Liberal Party lobbyist Alain Renaud. There are short cross-examinations by Anouk Fournier (Counsel for Mr. Gagliano) and Sylvain Lussier (on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada).
