Witness: Paul Martin

Prime Minister Paul Martin continues testimony. Under direct examination by Commission Counsel Neil Finkelstein, Mr. Martin speaks about his role in the federal government’s response to the 1995 Quebec referendum on sovereignty and his role in authorizing the creation of the so-called Unity Fund. Mr. Martin denies involvement in the administration of the fund. He is asked about his relationships with Jacques Corriveau, Charles Guité, and Claude Boulay and about his role in an advertising campaign for Canada Savings Bonds.
