Witness: Jean Brault

Commission Counsel Bernard Roy resumes examination of Jean Brault (the former president of Groupaction Marketing). Mr. Brault recalls demands from Antonio Mignacca to rehire Alain Renaud, a Liberal Party lobbyist, in order to keep a lucrative contract with VIA Rail. He describes donations to the Liberal Party of Quebec requested by Charles Guité and masked as payments to Groupe Everest. Mr. Brault is questioned in detail about donations to the Liberal Party of Canada, cash payments to Liberal fundraiser Giuseppe (Joe) Morselli, and Liberal Party bills sent to Mr. Brault for payment by Benoît Corbeil, Jacques Corriveau, and Mr. Renaud.
