Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: André Ouellet

The Commission continues to hear testimony on the subject of Canada Post’s involvement in sponsorship activities. Commission Counsel Bernard Roy concludes examination of André Ouellet (the former president and CEO of Canada Post) with questions focusing on the findings of the Auditor General and on an external audit by Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Ouellet is also asked about anomalies in the awarding of contracts and about Canada Post contracts with Lafleur Communication, Tremblay Guittet Communication, and Groupe Everest. Richard Dearden (Counsel for the Office of the Auditor General) conducts a brief cross-examination.
