Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

The Commission hears a motion presented by Pierre LaTraverse (Counsel for Jean Carle) calling for the retraction of earlier remarks by the Commissioner that allegedly compared the dealings of the Business Development Bank of Canada to “money laundering.” George Pollack (Counsel for the Business Development Bank of Canada) supports the motion, Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer speaks, and the Commissioner dismisses the motion.
