Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

The Commission hears motions calling for temporary publication bans on the testimony of Jean Brault, Paul Coffin, and Charles Guité in light of the three witnesses’ anticipated criminal trials. Motions in favour of the ban are presented by Harvey Yarosky (Counsel for Mr. Brault), Raphaël Schachter (Counsel for Mr. Coffin), and Richard Auger (Counsel for Mr. Guité). There is a submission in support of a temporary ban on publication by Richard Dearden (Counsel for the Office of the Auditor General).
