Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Alfonso Gagliano

The Commission continues to hear testimony from Alfonso Gagliano (former Minister of Public Works and Government Services). Under direct examination by Commission Counsel Bernard Roy, Mr. Gagliano is asked about meetings with Charles Guité (the executive director of the Communication Coordination Services Branch (CCSB)) and Jean Pelletier (Jean Chrétien’s chief of staff). He describes his relationships with advertising executives with ties to the Liberal Party, including Jacques Corriveau, Jean Brault, and Alain Renaud.
