The Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar

Witness: Rick Flewelling

Lorne Waldman (Counsel for Mr. Arar) continues cross-examination of Rick Flewelling (Criminal Intelligence Branch, National Security Offences Section, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)) with testimony focusing on the loosening of restrictions on information-sharing between the RCMP and foreign agencies and on the RCMP’s belief that the United States would deport Mr. Arar to Canada rather than Syria. Norman Boxall (Counsel for Michel Cabana) conducts cross-examination of Mr. Flewelling on the subject of the loosening of restrictions on information-sharing.
