Commission of Inquiry into the Investigation of the Bombing of Air India Flight 182

Witness: “Person One”

An anonymous witness labelled “Person One” testifies under direct examination by Commission Counsel Anil Kapoor about his knowledge of a plot to bomb Air India flight 182 and about his meetings and discussions with various individuals linked with the plot. Jacques Shore, Counsel for the Air India Victims’ Families Association, cross-examines Person One about why he was approached, about police incredulity at his information about the plot, and about his knowledge of the various individuals involved in the plot, and about his view that the individuals involved were Sikh “religious fanatics.” Charleen Brenzall, Counsel for the Attorney General of Canada, cross-examines Person One, asking about the assurances that were given to him prior to his agreement to testify anonymously before the Commission.
