The Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar

Witness: Richard Roy

The Commission hears testimony from Superintendent Richard Roy (former liaison officer for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT)). Under examination by Commission Counsel Marc David, Superintendent Roy describes the sharing of information from Consular Affairs with the RCMP and Project A-OCANADA, an Ottawa-based joint-force investigative team, during Mr. Arar’s detention in New York in October 2002.
