Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

The Commission continues to hear closing oral arguments. Paul Kane makes arguments on behalf of Mario Parent (the former coordinator of the advertising program for the Communication Coordination Services Branch (CCSB) of the Department of Public Works and Government Services), focusing anomalies in the organization of the CCSB and on Mr. Parent’s role in signing invoices for sponsorship activities under the authority of Charles Guité. Sylvain Lussier presents closing arguments on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada, speaking at length about ministerial responsibility.
