Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Alain Renaud

The Commission continues to hear testimony from Alain Renaud, a former lobbyist for Groupaction Marketing. Under direct examination by Commission Counsel Bernard Roy, Mr. Renaud recalls lobbying for government sponsorship contracts of behalf of Groupaction. He describes meetings with Charles Guité and with Jacques Corriveau and recounts the roles of Michel Béliveau and Gaby Chrétien in establishing Groupaction’s contacts within the government and within the Liberal Party of Canada.
