The Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar

Commission Counsel Paul J. J. Cavalluzzo summarizes testimony at earlier in-camera hearings and describes national security confidentiality concerns affecting the inquiry. The day is devoted to submissions on procedural questions. Submissions are made on the question of Mr. Arar’s access to in-camera documents and evidence by Marlys Edwardh (Counsel for Mr. Arar), Alex Neve (for Amnesty International and other organizations), Riad Saloojee (for the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations), Warren Allmand (for the International Civil Liberties Monitoring Group), and Barbara A. McIsaac (for the Attorney General of Canada).
