Commission of Inquiry into the Investigation of the Bombing of Air India Flight 182

Witness: Warren Sweeney

Warren Sweeney (a former investigator and analyst in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) security service and a former analyst in the RCMP’s counter-terrorism branch) resumes his testimony before the Commission under direct examination by Commission Counsel Anil Kapoor. Mr. Sweeney describes his work investigating potential threats to Air India in 1985 and the challenges that he encountered. Mr. Kapoor asks Mr. Sweeney about Sikh extremism in Canada and about the RCMP’s threat assessments on Ajaib Singh Bagri, who was suspected of being involved in the plot to bomb Air India flight 182.
