Witness: Ron Atkey

Ron Atkey (the former chair of the Security Intelligence Review Committee (SIRC)) testifies under direct examination by Commission Counsel Mark J. Freiman about the reasons for the creation of SIRC and the nature of its work. Mr. Freiman asks Mr. Atkey a series of additional questions related to SIRC’s role as a security intelligence watchdog and, in particular, the SIRC review of the activities of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) with respect to the destruction of Air India flight 182.
