Commission of Inquiry into the Investigation of the Bombing of Air India Flight 182

Witnesses: Tyson George, David Quartermain, Denis Vinette

Tyson George, David Quartermain, and Denis Vinette (Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)) testify as a panel under direct examination by Commission Counsel Roger Bilodeau. The witnesses give a slide presentation on undeclared, concealed currency seized by CBSA officers, explaining the context of the seizures and their relationship to the CBSA’s efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. There is a discussion of various methods of concealing money and of the CBSA’s detection efforts. Commissioner John C. Major asks the witnesses brief questions. Richard P. Quance (Counsel for the Family Members of the Crew Member Victims of Air India Flight 182, and Indian Nationals) and Kathryn Hucal (Counsel for the Attorney General of Canada) cross-examine the witnesses. Mr. Bilodeau asks some brief follow-up questions.
