Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Charles Guité

Catherine Beagan Flood (on behalf of the House of Commons) asks the Commissioner to defer his ruling on testimony relating to the proceedings of parliamentary committees. A procedural discussion follows on the effect of the ruling’s deferral on the Commission’s schedule. Commission Counsel Neil Finkelstein continues direct examination of Charles (Chuck) Guité (former Director General of the Advertising and Public Opinion Research Sector (APORS) and Executive Director of the Communication Coordination Services Branch (CCSB) at Public Works and Government Services Canada). Testimony focuses on the selection of events for sponsorship.
