Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witnesses: André Ouellet, Anne Buston

The Commission continues to hear testimony on the subject of Canada Post’s involvement in sponsorship activities. Julia Holland (Counsel for Canada Post) makes remarks concerning the testimony of André Ouellet (the former president and CEO of Canada Post). Sylvain Lussier (on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada) and Raymond Doray (Counsel for Mr. Ouellet) conduct cross-examinations of Mr. Ouellet. Commission Counsel Bernard Roy proceeds with direct examination of Anne Buston (former Director of Public Relations, Canada Post). Testimony focuses on the role of Canada Post’s sponsorship committee and the influence of Canada Post executives over the approval of agencies and projects for sponsorship.
