Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Lucienne Robillard

The Commission continues to hear testimony from Lucienne Robillard (a former president of the Treasury Board and minister responsible for the federal campaign in the 1995 Quebec referendum). Under examination by Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer, Ms. Robillard describes recommendations she made as the president of the Treasury Board in 2002 to Prime Minister Jean Chrétien calling for changes to the sponsorship program. She also speaks about the abolition of Communication Canada in December 2003 and about responsibility for compliance with Treasury Board policy.
