Commission of Inquiry into the Investigation of the Bombing of Air India Flight 182

Witnesses: Gavin Stewart, Scott Heatherington, Daniel Molgat

Gavin Stewart (Minister-Counsellor for Immigration and the individual responsible for the Canadian government’s consular division at the Canadian High Commission in London, United Kingdom, at the time of the bombing in 1985), Daniel Molgat (Assistant Deputy Minister in charge of Europe for the Department of External Affairs until two weeks prior to the bombing), and Scott Heatherington (a former employee of the Department of External Affairs) respond as a panel to questions from Raj Anand (Counsel for Lata Pada and other victims’ families), Norman Boxall (Counsel for the Air India Victims’ Families Association), Barney Brucker (Counsel for the Attorney General of Canada), and Mark J. Freiman (Commission Lead Counsel) about the Canadian government’s response to the Air India disaster and lessons learned from the experience.
