Inquiries on CPAC - The Gomery Inquiry – December 6, 2004 (Part 1 of 4)

Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Denyse Paquette

Commission Counsel Bernard Roy makes a statement concerning the release of partially redacted documents to the Commission by the Privy Council Office. Mr. Roy proceeds with direct examination of Denyse Paquette (former administrative assistant to Charles Guité and former project coordinator in the Communication Coordination Services Branch (CCSB) of Public Works and Government Services). Ms. Paquette denies an earlier claim by Andrée LaRose concerning the destruction of documents related to the sponsorship program. There are brief cross-examinations by Pierre Fournier (Counsel for Alfonso Gagliano), Richard Auger (Counsel for Mr. Guité), and Sylvain Lussier (on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada).
