Witness: Robert Fry

Lorne Waldman (Counsel for Mr. Arar) conducts cross-examination of Robert Fry (former Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs). Testimony focuses on ministerial knowledge of reports of Mr. Arar’s torture in Syria, information-sharing between security agencies in Canada and the United States, press coverage of Mr. Arar’s case, and visits by members of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) to Syria. Barbara A. McIsaac (for the Attorney General of Canada) cross-examines Mr. Fry, asking him about ministerial briefings on consular visits to Mr. Arar in Syria.
