Commission Counsel Marc David continues examination of Maureen Girvan (former manager of the Consular Services Section of the Canadian Consulate General in New York); testimony covers Ms. Girvan’s actions and correspondence following Mr. Arar’s deportation from New York to Syria in October 2002, including contact with the Center for Constitutional Rights and the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) and the briefing of Bill Graham (Minister of Foreign Affairs) for his appearance at the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs following Mr. Arar’s release.
