Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witnesses: Sheila Fraser, Ronald Campbell, Louise Bertrand

The Commission continues to hear testimony on federal government advertising practices from a panel of witnesses from the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, including Sheila Fraser (Auditor General of Canada), Ronald Campbell (Accountant, Office of the Auditor General), and Louise Bertrand (Senior Director, Office of the Auditor General). Under direct examination by Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer, the witnesses speak in detail about problems with the management of advertising contracts by individual government departments, focusing in particular on a lack of documentation in the administration of contracts.
